MAIN CHARACTER

MISAKI AYUZAWA   鮎沢 美咲

Heroine of Kaichou wa Maid-sama!. She lives together with her mother and her younger sister Suzuna. Her father abandoned them, leaving them with a huge debt, which causes Misaki to have a deep hatred for most boys (except the gentlemanly type). She is Usui Takumi's girlfriend.

HISTORY

She goes to Seika high school, which only recently became co-ed. It was an all-boy's school only a few years ago. Because of this, the student body is 80% male and 20% female. Due to Misaki's hard work to become the student council president and create a safe environment for the girls, she gained the reputation as an uptight boy-hating dictator. Despite this tough-as-nails appearance, she secretly works part-time at a maid cafe in order to support her family. Her hard-earned reputation is threatened when the popular, attractive, and somewhat impassive Takumi Usui takes an interest in her after discovering her in a maid uniform after school. Misaki spent her childhood in the company of her sister Suzuna and childhood friend Shintani. Back then, as recounted by Shintani, she was incredibly gentle and sweet, admired by several children in her neighborhood. Her father left the Ayuzawa family with a huge debt when Misaki was in the second year of junior high, which started her boy-hating trend and worry for her sickly mother, Minako. Even though many of the male students fear and even hate her, the ones who get to know her come to see that she's actually very fair and willing to help anyone who needs it. She eventually becomes widely respected for her exceptional academic ability, her great athletic skill, and her many accomplishments as president.

According to Misaki, she tried physical labour, but her body couldn't take it. As such, she was hired by Maid Latte's manager, Hyoudou Satsuki, and began secretly and reluctantly working as a maid. It was Misaki's exceptional academic ability and incredible sports progress that earned her the spot of Student Council President, which she uses to reform the school into a more girl-safe environment. Her position is threatened when Usui Takumi discovers her in a maid uniform after school.

Misaki is always driven to do her best regardless of the endeavor and has a strong sense of justice, though she also has a tendency to forget her own well being in the process of helping others. Misaki harbours feelings towards Usui and often blushes when he's around her. She always says that she hates Usui, but it usually means she loves him. She can never seem to talk properly or normally whenever Usui is around. Eventually, she realises her feelings for Usui, who in fact knows. She is never honest about her feelings towards Usui, instead lying and acting violently whenever awkward moments are brought up. In Chapter 51, she attempts to confess her feelings to Usui, but gets interrupted thanks to a kiss from Usui. In Chapter 57, she finally confesses her feelings for Usui and they officially become a couple.

RELATIONSHIPS

Usui Takumi

Usui is the first person to learn of Misaki's part-time job of working at Maid Latte. He willingly keeps this secret from the rest of the school and is always helping and supporting her. He regularly tells her that he likes her, but she brushes it off as a joke or harrassment, calling him a "Perverted Outer Space Human." However, there is no doubt that she gradually develops feelings for Usui, but refuses to acknowledge them until Shintani confesses his love for her. When Usui tells Kanou that he finds being together "troublesome," Kanou misinterprets it as Usui not being serious about Misaki. However, he later realizes that loving a girl and being in a relationship are two different things for Usui. Usui and Misaki kiss in Chapter 32, Misaki realizes her feelings for Usui. Their relationship grows closer the more time goes on, such as their date in the park in Chapter 41 on Misaki's 17th birthday, September 29th. She finally confesses her feelings for Usui in chapter 57 and they officially become a couple.

SHINTANI HINATA

Shintani and Misaki were childhood friends, and Misaki regularly defended him from neighborhood bullies who would tease him because of his fatness. As such Shintani developed a long-standing crush on her, even coming back from his grandparents' farm to the city to search for her. When he admits his feelings for her, he pushes her to come to terms with her feelings for Usui. He is accepting of her feelings, saying that he will wait for her.

HANAZONO SAKURA

Sakura and Misaki are good friends, and they often do things together along with Shizuko. Misaki is very protective of her, knowing about her tendency to fall in love without considering what the person is really like, and her popularity with Seika High's male population.

KAGA SHIZUKO

Shizuko is another one of Misaki's good friends, who is in the flower arranging club along with Sakura. She is quiet and thoughtful. According to Sakura, she has a brother and sister in university and junior high, and that all three of them look alike.

AYUZAWA SUZUNA

Misaki's rather eccentric and apathetic sister. She is very passive and show very little emotion. She is in middle school so she is unable to take a part-time job. Therefore, to help her mother and sister in terms of financial problems, she joins magazine contests and always tend to win food prizes. She also keeps tabs on shops that are about to have sales on certain items so they could buy it in a cheaper price.

AYUZAWA MINAKO

Misaki and Suzuna's mother. Misaki cares for her sickly mother very much, knowing her current condition. Her mother worries about her as well.

The most popular boy at Seika High, is the male lead of the story. He appears to take little interest in anything and prefers to observe things as they unfold. He proves to be extraordinarily talented in a number of different fields, including cooking, the violin, chess, various sports, and table etiquette. He shares a very special relationship with the President of Seika High, Ayuzawa Misaki. In chapter 57, Usui and Misaki start an official relationship.

HISTORY

The most popular boy at Seika High, he proves to be extraordinarily talented in a number of different fields including; cooking, playing violin, playing chess, and understanding table etiquette, showing that he is likely from a wealthy family. He's in fact an illegitimate child: his rich mother (whose maiden name is Usui) had an affair with an unknown japanese man. She died giving birth to Takumi. To keep this fact secret his english grandfather sent him to his grandmother's family in Japan, thus having little contact with his older British half-brother. Adopted by his mother's cousin, most of the education he received was through tutoring, partially explaining his academic excellence.

He grew tired and bored of this and preferred to attend a standard high school ultimately leading to his family renting him a high rise apartment in the city. During his first year, he quickly became popular among the girls but not being interested in them, he systematically rejected them when they confessed-- thus being considered like a bully by Misaki. At the beginning of his second year, he develops an interest in Misaki being the first to learn she is working at a maid café, but chooses to keep her secret. He regularly tells Misaki he likes her, but she dismisses his behavior simply as a joke or harassment. It is because of this, along with: his uncanny ability to appear whenever she needs him, his wide-ranging skills, and the fact that he survived jumping off the school's roof into the swimming pool, that Misaki often refers to him as a "perverted space alien" (or some variation thereof).

Regardless, he continually helps and watches over her, offering insightful advice on how to deal with the boys at Seika effectively and even becomes possessive of her (especially around Shintani). At one point, he tells Kanou that he doesn't want to date a girl seriously, which Kanou initially misunderstands as Usui not being serious about the President; later, however, Kanou realizes that "dating" and genuinely caring for/loving a girl are different things to Usui.

While Misaki is campaigning for re-election as student council President, she asks him to stay away from her for the length of the race so that his popularity won't unfairly influence voting in her favor. Usui agrees but replies, "...and it's such valuable, precious little time..." implying that his time with Misaki is limited. Though the reasons for this aren't known, Usui's mysterious meeting with Miyabigaoka High School's student council president is most likely related in some way. Soon after he meets with his former tutor Maria Miyazono, who became teacher at his high school. Because he didn't want to tell her about his past and her suspicious belief that he could have a romantic relationship with Maria; Misaki started to feel depressed. But after that Usui informed her that it's in fact Maria who has a crush on her, tells her to be prudent about that and agrees to reveal his history. In the book on his character information it said that he is seventeen years old. At Chapter 51 they show his older half-brother talking in front of Misaki at his apartment. After his brother left, a part of the manga, When Misaki confesses to Usui that she likes him but it interrupted with a kiss from Usui. Eventually, they confess their love and start dating as an official couple.

PERSONALITY

Usui appears to have little interest in anything and prefers to observe things as they unfold. Usui is skilled in a variety of things, and is also incredibly intelligent, and is as such admired by Seika High's girl students (Sakura included). He isn't much for actually running into action, being quite the laid-back person he is, Usui prefers to take things as they come. His interest in Misaki is because of her contrast to him, and always watches over her and helps her when in need (which happens rather often). He also keeps her secret safe from the school. He acts childishly jealous and sometimes overly possessive towards Ayuzawa. Usui doesn't seem to have many friends and the only person who he really interacts regularly with is Ayuzawa, which may come from his lack of social interaction maybe due to his past.

HINATA SHINTANI   深谷 陽向

BACKGROUND

Shintani is a childhood friend of Misaki who came to Seika High in search of his (one-sided) first love, Misaki. When they were children, he was an overweight boy. One time, he fell out of a cherry tree when reaching for some cherries. Misaki was there to take care of him and consequently he promised to follow her for the rest of his life.

Soon after this incident, Shintani's parents died in a car crash and he moved away to live with his grandparents on the countryside. When he returned, his appearance had changed considerably from losing weight (supposedly from eating nothing but vegetables). However, he remains a glutton. He also knows about Misaki's part time job.

He admires Usui's strength and talent, though Usui seems indifferent to Shintani. He refuses to give up on Misaki despite being fully aware of her and Usui's feelings for each other, having resolved prior to moving that he would not let Misaki having a boyfriend deter him. Misaki's mother and sister both note that he physically resembles Misaki's father, though he claims that he would never abandon the people he cares about.

APPEARANCE & PERSONALITY

Shintani has a slender build, although it is interesting to note that he was incredibly fat as a child, slimming down after eating plenty of his grandparents' self-planted vegetables. He has dark hair and amber eyes, and a very laid-back appearance. Misaki's mother and sister both note his physical resemblance to Misaki's father, whom she hates.

Shintani is very laid-back and friendly, making friends easily when he transfers into Seika High. He is also very hard-working and affectionate.

HISTORY

As a child, Shintani was good friends with Misaki, as she always defended him from people who picked on him because of his build. She called him "You-kun." As a result, Shintani admired her gentle personality very much and developed a long-standing crush on her. When his parents died and he had to leave for his grandparents' house in the country, Misaki gave him a piece of candy and told him to stop eating too much. Shintani reveals that he still has that candy wrapper to this very day.

Shintani debuts in Chapter 26, introduced as a new transfer student who is looking for the girl he likes. He recognizes Misaki as "Misaki-chan," and is quite shocked by the change in her. Nevertheless, he is still affectionate towards her and proclaims his long-standing love for her. When he realizes that Misaki is in love with Usui, he tells her that it's okay for her to like him and that he will wait for her.

HE & MISAKI

Shintani has a one sided love for Misaki. He fell in love with her because of all the help she provided him when he was younger. It is more than obvious that his love for her is just as strong as Usui's, since he even changed schools just to be around Misaki.

Although he knows she does not share the same feelings towards him, he stated that he will not give up on her no matter what, further proof of his strong love towards her.

SHOUICHIROU YUKIMURA    幸村 祥一郎

The Vice President of the School Council at Seika High and is frequently helping with paperwork etc. Because of his gentle nature he is often 'targeted' by Usui Takumi. He tries to help Misaki any way he can and enjoys the Council routines. At first, he like the rest of the student council is fearful of Misaki but he later becomes very close to her and Usui. He also has a 7 year old sister named Rui.

PERSONALITY

Yukimura Shouichirou is an earnest and very hardworking member of the School Council. The Council President Ayuzawa Misaki seems to be fond of his nice nature though she usually ends up saving him from troublesome situations that Usui has dragged him into. Though he is seen doing most of the administrative work he is not athletic at all. His gentle and feminine demenour makes him seem almost weak, a fact he is sensitive about. He is both terrified and awed by Usui Takumi who kissed him as 'a reward for his hard work'. He also seen wearing various costumes including a maid outfit and sailor fuku.

NAOYA SHIRAKAWA    白川 直也

A male student at Seika High School who initially dislikes Misaki because of her forceful methods of reforming Seika. He and his friends discover that she works at a maid café early on in the story, but after she is defended by Usui, they quickly become her biggest fans, as well as regulars at Cafe Maid Latte, often referred to as the "idiot trio." His nickname is “Shiroyan.” He also used to be a delinquent in middle school known as White Demon.

IKUTO SARASHINA   更科 郁斗 

The second of the “idiot trio,” which includes Shirakawa Naoya and Ryuunosuke Kurosaki. A closet otaku, he is actually good at drawing manga illustrations and enjoys writing. His friends call him “Ikkun.”

RYUUNOSUKE KUROSAKI     黒崎 龍之介

The third member of the “idiot trio” who frequently visit Cafe Maid Latte, nicknamed “Kurotatsu.” Known for being the perverted one and likes "erotic things". Also used to be a delinquent in middle school with Shiroyan.

SAKURA HANAZONO    花園 さくら

A good friend of Misaki's and one of the few female students at Seika High, Sakura is friendly and cheerful and, like the rest of the girls, relies on Misaki for protection from the wild behaviour of the boys. She is quite popular amongst the boys, but frequently rejects their confessions; in particular, she’s rejected ex-rugby captain Masaru Gouda two hundred times. According to Shizuko, Sakura falls in love without carefully considering what the person is really like, as exampled by her persistent feelings for Kuuga, the two-faced, womanizing singer of the popular rock band UxMishi from a nearby high school.

SHIZUKO KAGA    加賀 しず子

One of Misaki and Sakura’s friends, a sensible and intelligent girl who often spends lunchtime with them. She is quite the opposite of Sakura. Shizuko is a member of the flower arranging club and is good at math, but isn’t very good at physical activities. She has an older brother in university and a younger sister in junior high school; according to Sakura, the three of them look very alike.

HISTORY
Soutarou Kanou first appears as an adversary to Misaki with the reason being that he hates girls and thinks that if Misaki is no longer the President; the number of girls in Seika High would decrease. He specializes in hypnotizing other people and tries to perform hypnosis on both Misaki and Usui but fails. He later helps out a girl who is scared of guys and makes her uneasiness of guys go away. Misaki realizes that even though Kanou hates girls, he doesn't give off a sense of threat.
His phobia with girls started when he was 4 years old. His father hurt his mom and told Kanou, "...females are so fragile that you have to stay away from them..." Although Kanou later understood that his Mom was just sick of his dad, but he still wanted to keep his distance so that his past wouldn't be repeated and someone else got hurt.
Kanou soon becomes close friends with Yukimura Shouichirou even though Kanou says he can feel a girl's aura whenever he's around him. Kanou also observes the relationship between Misaki and Usui and is one of the first people to realize that they care for each other very deeply.
When the Student Council election emerges, Kanou unwillingly gets pulled into running for Student Council President against Misaki. It isn't until Misaki talks to Kanou about how being the President changed her, that he willingly accepts being a candidate. She also told him "If it's you I might consider letting you take over my position". Despite the fact that Misaki won the Presidency again, Kanou was content with the results saying, "...half a year later I will be a guy whose name will be written properly by everybody".

MARIA MIYAZONO    宮園 マリア 

 The new English teacher in Seika High. She may not have pure Japanese blood due to her name and looks. She taught at Seika High because of Igarashi Tora, the Miyabigaoka student council president. Tora made her teach in Seika High to make Takumi quit schooling there. She always wears revealing clothes and is described as having a large bust and short in height. At first, Misaki is getting jealous of her, but then t is revealed in the later chapters that she likes Misaki and that's what Takumi is worrying about. She is also kinda' perverted due to the fact that she 'attacked' Misaki, when they were alone and she also stalk her, when her job is finish. She has a fiance, named Shinji but only considers him as her childhood friend.She is connected to Takumi's past.

AYUZAWA HOUSE

MINAKO AYUZAWA    鮎沢 美奈子

The hardworking mother of the main heroine, Ayuzawa Misaki.She is prone to sickness and in episode 11, Takumi told her that she is powerless and defenseless. She always encourages Misaki to enjoy her life as a teenager. she works as a nurse in a hospital.She also said that Hinata Shintani is similar to her husband, while Takumi is the opposite of her husband.She has a striking resemblance to her daughters.

SUZUNA AYUZAWA    鮎沢 紗奈

Misaki's younger sister. She is very apathetic and shows little to no emotion. She does not work at any part time jobs and appears to be in middle school. In the anime, she often enters magazine contests and always seems to win food prizes. Her first appearance occurs late in the manga, while she is a frequent recurring character in the anime. She has recently attended Seika and is on her First year.
In one of the omake chapters, it is revealed she may have feelings for Shintani Hinata.

MAID LATTE

SATSUKI HYOUDOU    兵藤 さつき

The manager of Maid Latte and Misaki’s boss, a 30 year old woman who has a tendency to voice out her fantasies. She is a cheerful woman who enjoys her job because it allows her to make others happier. She is very understanding of Misaki’s circumstances, knowing that Misaki does not particularly enjoy working at a maid café, and is perceptive of other people’s feelings. Satsuki also ends up hiring Usui as a part-time cook, much to Misaki’s dispair. She is the aunt to Aoi Hyoudou, and often lets him stay with her when her brother kicks him out and also gives him her old clothes for his cross-dressing hobby. She also has a younger sister named Nagisa Hyoudou, who owns a beach house where the Cafe Latte helped during the summer.

HONOKA    ほのか

An employee at Café Latte. She can become somewhat maniacal about getting in character for her job and criticizes Misaki for her initial resistance to acting parts outside of her comfort range, as well as for being ashamed of working at Maid Latte and hiding it from her peers. Also when Honoka was asked to describe what she feels and thinks about Misa she says "hate, because her good work is making her look bad."

ERIKA    エリカ

A college student working at Café Latte. She notes that Misaki is strong and picks up work quickly, and claims that it doesn't feel like Misaki is younger than her. She has a tendency to eavesdrop and is described as having a “voice fetish.”

SUBARU    すばる

An employee at Café Latte. Like Honoka, she does not have a full-time job and makes a living from part-time work. She considers Misaki to be hard working. Subaru can be distinguished by her glasses.

SAYU   さゆ  & GON-CHAN   ゴンちゃん

Two other employees at Café Latte. Sayu is 18 and Gon-chan is 20 years old. They do not appear often.

SEN-CHAN   センちゃん & MOCHI   もっち

The two kitchen staff at Café Latte. Both girls made their appearance in episode 15.

AOI HYOUDOU   兵藤 葵 

Aoi Hyoudou is a 14 year old middle school student, and is the only nephew of Satsuki. He is an only child, but due to his cross dressing tendencies, he is often exiled from his household. Though he is biologically a boy, he longs to be a girl. As he puts it, he likes things that are considered beautiful and cute, often isolated from his peers as a result, and becomes frustrated when girls do not go out of their way to appear cute.

APPEARANCE & PERSONALITY
Aoi's androgynous features allow him to easily pass for a girl, which he does so as his female persona is extremely popular on the Internet as an idol. He is quite arrogant, criticizing Misaki's lack of initiative in her
 relationship with Usui (hot) and for leading Shintani on, even though she wasn't meaning to. He also loathes her fashion sense, believing that girls should dress cutely. Aoi likes things considered beautiful and cute. Due to his interests, he is often mocked by his peers, and he is out to impress them with his cuteness.
When to look like a girl, Aoi has curly blonde hair, but as a boy he has black hair.


PLOT OVERVIEW
Ikuto of the Three Idiots recognizes Aoi as a well-known Internet persona who appears to have feelings for Usui. Later Misaki later realizes his true gender after ripping his wig off, and he admits that it was all an act. He is initially disapproving of Misaki. However, Aoi's family does not approve of his cross-dressing and he along with the employees of Maid Latte go to stay with Nagisa, Satsuki's younger sister. Nagisa tells him that she will let him cross-dress if he wins a beach volleyball competition, in the end he ends up entering with Misaki and they earn second place after they forfeit against Usui and Erika. After that incident he becomes more approving of Misaki.
In the latest chapters, it has been implied he likes Misaki, the only dress design being "good" was the one for her. After Usui and Misaki begin dating, he is jealous, but later realizes that when Misaki is with Usui, she is 'cute': and he likes her the best when she is cute.

NAGISA HYOUDOU  兵藤 なぎさ 

Satsuki’s younger sister and Aoi's aunt. Nagisa is the manager of a beach house known as “Ocean House.” She asks for Satsuki and her employees to come and work at her beach house during the summer since her shop is not as popular as she would like. Nagisa is somewhat tough on Aoi for trying to dress like a girl because her older brother sent Aoi to her beach house to become more masculine.

UXMISHI

KUUGA SAKURAI   桜井 空我

Vocalist of the rock band UxMishi. While he seems sweet and kind to his fans, in reality he is very arrogant, rude and insensitive to others' feelings. It is due to his attitude that Misaki dislikes him, as he was very insensitive to Sakura's feelings while hitting on Misaki herself. He appears to develop some genuine feelings towards Sakura because she is the only one who earnestly cares for him, expressing jealousy towards Usui and becoming annoyed by the fact that Sakura seems happy being with Usui and Misaki during a weekend trip.

SHOUSEI NIKAIDOU    二階堂 匠生

Guitarist of the rock band UxMishi, known as "Shou". Shou doesn't express himself that much.

KOUMA YAFU   藪 煌真

Bassist of the rock band UxMishi, nicknamed "Kou". Kou is very respectful and always scolds Kuuga's rude behavior.

YUUJIROU ONO   小野 裕次郎

MIYABIGAOKA HIGH SCHOOL

TORA IGARASHI    五十嵐 虎

The Student Council President at Miyabigaoka High School, he initially appears as a gentleman who marvels at Misaki and the changes she has brought to Seika High, offering her a chance to come to Miyabigaoka with an exceptional loan. He is quickly revealed to be a lecherous young man who has become bored with the women surrounding him, who are easily submissive because of his wealth, He tries to seduce Misaki. He enjoys causing drama around him and he thinks that money can buy anything. Misaki's strong will and outright rejection of his monetary bribe to have her join the Miyabigaoka Student Council captures his interest. It is later revealed that Tora has some ties to or knowledge of Usui's past or background, which he may be exploiting to some as of yet unknown end. Aware of the nature of Usui and Misaki's relationship, he continues to surprise Misaki and express an interest in how she will react to the confusing and manipulative way he speaks to her.

KANADE MAKI    真木 奏

The Vice President of the Student Council at Miyabigaoka High, he and Igarashi attempt to buy out Maid Latte and change it into a butler café. Misaki and Usui are able to prevent him from realizing his plans through a competition. In the end, he realizes that Maid Latte is different from other cafés. In the latest chapters of the manga, he visits Maid Latte again, saying that he wanted to observe how the business is going and how the employees serve their customers. However, he secretly tried to warn Misaki about a new obstacle that she will soon encounter.

HIROFUMI KOGANEI    小金井博文

A bespectacled student at Miyabigaoka High School who looks down upon Seika students. After insulting two students for taking an interest in chess, they hit him and Misaki forces them to go with her to apologize to him. When she discovers the reason why they attacked Koganei, she demands that Koganei apologize to her students as well. He agrees, only on the condition that they defeat him in chess, which Usui does with no trouble despite Koganei ranking fourth in the nation as a chess player. He was originally intended to be the president of Miyabigaoka High School Council by the author, but rejected by the editor.

MIYABIGAOKA'S ELITE GROUP

A group of students that are apparently "assisting" Tora, expressing that they want to become friends with Usui and do Tora a favour. They consist of Kaon Umekouji, a girl who carries around a large teddy bear made by her mother; her older brother Tomu, a boy seen wearing headphones around his neck; and Tomikouji Ichitarou, who is a childhood friends with the Umekouji siblings. Little is known about the group, though Kaon expresses an arrogant and cruelly playful streak towards though she looks down on. However, her attempt to upset Misaki by lying about being Usui's fiancee abruptly grows awry when Misaki dismisses it and mockingly pities her by listing all of Usui's negative traits. The group later attempts to meet Misaki by going to Maid Latte.

SEISEN MIDDLE SCHOOL

GOUKI ARATAKE    荒嶽 剛毅

The strongest delinquent in Seisen Middle School, he is an old friend and kohai of Shirokawa and Kurosaki. He used to be a pushover and a bit of a crybaby. He was saved by Shirokawa and Kurosaki once when he was being bullied, and immediately started looking up to them after that. Constantly seeking to become stronger, he kept his delinquent ways even after the two have graduated and retired from delinquency. He later kidnapped Yukimura, who was dressed like a girl and who he mistook as Shirokawa's girlfriend, and challenged the idiot trio to a fight elsewhere. Coincidentally, he and Aoi happen to attend the same middle school.

GERARD WALKER

He is the half older brother of Usui Takumi ( through their mother), since this is true that makes gerrard 1/4 japanese, but despite the bloodline difference he and takumi have a striking resemblance regardless of their different fathers. He first appeared in chapter 50, misaki mistook him for usui due to the uncanny resemblance. He and Takumi appear to be in bad terms, perhaps due to the fact that Takumi is the illegitimate child of Gerard's mother.
Unlike Takumi, Gerard is not good in cooking. It seems the only difference between the two is their hair and their personality. At the end of chapter 51, it is revealed that he is up to no good and commanded his bodyguard Cedric to fulfill his evil plan. Takumi is aware of this, as Gerard said: "I think a dog running away from discipline must have its bones crushed to pieces."
Like Takumi, he appears to share the habit of teasing his friends, as he teases Cedric constantly.
He dislikes Japan for its dislike of smokers, though he does like the cheap cigarettes. He is a chain smoker.

CEDRIC MORRIS

Gerard's bodyguard, an attractive man with skills on par with Usui who is extremely persistent and devoted to fulfilling Gerard's orders, no matter how ridiculous. Despite being assigned to spy on Usui, he is not very inconspicuous and frequently called out of hiding when Usui or others point out where he is. He openly dislikes and threatens Misaki, in part because he does not want her to associate with Usui and the Walker family and because he believes that maids and butlers are dedicated servants to the distinguished, unlike the pseudo-maids at Maid Latte. Though he understands Misaki's situation, Cedric feels that someone like Misaki is not suited for someone like Usui. However, he was taken aback by the resemblance on how Gerard treats him as Usui treats Misaki.
